Development and application of a comprehensive analytical method for oxidized lipids Department of Medicinal Sciences, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences
A study on the O6-methylguanine damage response during DNA replication and DNA mismatch repair Department of Systems Life Sciences, Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences O⁶-methylguanine (O⁶mG) is highly mutagenic because it can mispair with thymine. Notably, O⁶mG is also cytotoxic, particularly in proliferating cells. This property is exploited in cancer therapy usin [...]
Creation of functional surfaces mimicking lubrication mechanism by extracellular matrix-derived polymers on the surface layer of articular cartilage Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering In articular cartilage, the extracellular matrix on the surface layer of cartilage contributes to the extremely low friction phenomenon. To elucidate this mechanism, the physical model of cartilage ti [...]
An Attempt to Quantify Perceived Emotion in a Song by Topological Analysis of Lead Sheet Information Department of Design, Graduate School of Design People often use verbal expressions such as “this song is happy” or “this melody is sad.” However, if you think about it, a melody is nothing more than a series of pitches, of [...]
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Its Effects on Identity in Japan: A Symbolic Interactionist Perspective Department of Education, Graduate School of Human-Environment Studies My study will explore the increasingly pervasive educational phenomena called Social Emotional Learning (SEL) from a perspective that looks at how individuals, groups, and societies interact and mutua [...]
Impact of workshops using artistic activities on people with disabilities using welfare facilities and the development of guideline for such workshops. Department of Design, Graduate School of Design The purpose of this study is to develop and validate guidelines that will enable staff with no expertise in the arts to conduct arts workshops that are effective in improving the Well-Being of people [...]
The molecular mechanisms of organ morphogenesis through epithelial-mesenchymal cell adhesion and cytoskeletal dynamics Department of Dental Science, Graduate School of Dental Science Our body is made up of different organs, each with a unique characteristic morphology that matches its function. There’s been much debate about what determines the “shape” of an orga [...]
Development of immunosuppressive agents without side effects Department of Dental Science, Graduate School of Dental Science In a previous study, we reported that amelogenin, a major component of enamel substrate protein, suppresses antigen presentation by macrophages by inducing histone modifications through nuclear transf [...]
