This program is being implemented as part of the “PARKS” entrepreneurship education initiative, in which universities and other institutions in Kyushu and Okinawa participate. Its goal is for doctoral students to gain the mindset and experience necessary to translate their research findings into societal applications and innovation through exchanges and workshops with faculty members from overseas universities and startup professionals.
This time, the following two programs will be offered:
① National University of Singapore (NUS) Overseas Training Program
This is a foundational educational program designed to help doctoral students develop the mindset necessary to drive innovation.

February 14–March 6, 2027 (3 weeks)
[Content]
Through lectures and workshops led by faculty members from the National University of Singapore and local startup professionals, participants will learn the mindset required to generate innovation from research.
② Los Angeles Overseas Training Program (Launch Starz)
This applied educational program is designed for doctoral students who already possess research or technology that could serve as the foundation for a startup.
Through interaction with startup professionals, it aims to help participants commercialize their research findings and launch startups.

Through lectures, workshops, and other activities led by startup professionals in Los Angeles,
participants will gain the knowledge and experience needed to bridge the gap between research and startup creation.
■ Costs
For both programs, PARKS will cover travel, accommodation, and program participation fees, allowing students to participate at minimal cost.
