重水素-トリチウム(DT)核融合炉おいて、運転開始時には初期保有分のＴを確保しておく必要がある。そこで、高温ガス炉にLiロッドを装荷し、6Li(n,α)T 反応を利用したＴ製造法が提案されている。T製造時には核反応熱によりLiロッドが発熱し、T閉じ込め性能に影響が及ぶと考えられる。本研究は6Li(n,α)T 核反応熱がLiロッドのT閉じ込め性能に及ぼす影響を評価した。

レーザー核融合ロケットとは、レーザー照射式核融合で生じる莫大なエネルギーを利用してプラズマを生成し、超伝導コイルで生成した強磁場との相互作用で排出して推力発生を得るロケットである。推力発生には、プラズマと磁場の相互作用が生じた後で磁力線からプラズマが切り離されること（デタッチメント）が必要になるが、メカニズムがわかっていない。そこで、第一原理シミュレーションでデタッチメントを検証する。
