CLIMATE ACTION

Disaster prevention research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms by which disasters such as earthquakes and floods occur, as well as examining how to provide post-disaster support. The problem is th [...]

Since the 1980s, “pre-contracts,” which predetermine the quality, quantity, and price of agricultural products between producers and consumers, have become common in Japan’s agricult [...]

Quantitative evaluation of a leaf photosynthesis for improving crop productivity by creation of sinusoidal light

Department of Agro-environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences

In plant factory with artificial lighting, where light condition is consistently controlled, there is a demand for discovering new light environments that enhance crop photosynthesis and improve produ [...]

Clarification of Energy Conversion Processes between Earth's Atmospheric Winds and Space Plasma by Comparison of Numerical Calculations and Observations

Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science

The Earth’s atmospheric winds, which influences space plasma in the ionosphere, is required to be elucidated. In this study, we focus on the “quasi-6-day components,” that the quasi- [...]

To realize a decarbonized society, improving the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems and transitioning to low-environmental-impact next-generation refrigerants are urgent tasks. However, nov [...]

Membrane separation has the potential to be a low-cost CO2 capture technology owing to its simple setup and small energy consumption. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) free-standing nanomembranes (FNM) have [...]

C12A7 mayenite has positively charged cages which can encapsulate anions. We have successfully synthesized mayenite from hydrogarnet precursor prepared by liquid phase method. In addition, we succeede [...]
