My Various Experiences Are Coming Together

I started making music in high school, and while studying psychology in college, I was also active in composing, performing as a singer-songwriter, and playing in a band. As I continued my musical pursuits, the COVID-19 pandemic sparked my interest in visual expression, so I transferred to another university after graduation to study filmmaking more professionally.

There, I produced the music video “5ML,” which used live-action compositing to illuminate a nighttime cityscape. I submitted this work to the 54th Fukuoka City Art Exhibition and received the Fukuoka Mayor’s Award in the Design category.

In graduate school, I became interested in “Liminal Spaces,” particularly in their potential to evoke feelings such as loneliness and nostalgia, and created the music video “Kennenn” using 3DCG. I also submitted this work to the 57th Fukuoka City Art Exhibition and was once again awarded the Fukuoka Mayor’s Award.

Currently, I am conducting research on the relationship between visual and media expression and human psychology, drawing on the psychology I have studied and my experience in video production. Although I have pursued a wide range of interests over the years, I feel that these experiences are gradually coming together. I hope to continue enjoying both my research and creative work.
