The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is now accepting applications for the 6th Maria Skłodowska Curie Award for young female researchers. This award recognizes the efforts of young female researchers who are expected to be active internationally, and is open to graduate students (doctoral course). Interested course students are encouraged to apply.

● Eligibility Requirements:
・ Both self-nominations and nominations by others are accepted. In the case of nominations by others, the nominee’s consent is required
・ Female researchers (including postdocs), doctoral students (in the final phase of their doctoral program), and individuals of equivalent standing who, as of April 1, 2027, will have held a doctoral degree for approximately five years*
* Periods of interruption in research activities due to life events, etc., will be taken into account
・ Covers a wide range of research fields related to science and technology
・ Nationality: Japanese; Residence: No restrictions
● Awards:
・ Grand Prize (1 recipient): A cash prize of 1 million yen, plus travel and accommodation expenses for a visit to a research institution in Poland
・ Encouragement Award (2 recipients): A cash prize of 500,000 yen
(The cash prizes are provided by Japan Electronics Co., Ltd., and the opportunity to visit Poland is provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Japan and the Polish Academy of Sciences.)
