RISE Worldwide 2026
Now in its 17th year, the DAAD’s RISE Worldwide program has enabled approximately 4,000 undergraduate students from German universities to gain international research experience as research assistants abroad.
Currently, research groups around the world interested in hosting interns from Germany in the summer of 2026 are invited to submit project proposals.
In addition to receiving support for your research projects from outstanding German students, this program offers opportunities to build academic networks with Germany and deepen intercultural understanding. For doctoral students, it also provides valuable experience in mentoring.
Project Proposal Submission Period: August 15 – September 30, 2025 (Deadline)
Internship Period: 6 weeks to 3 months during the summer of 2026 (Earliest start date: June 1, 2026)
