What’s is AsTW??
◆ASEAN in Today’s World (AsTW) is a short-term, English-medium study abroad program in which students learn comprehensively about the ASEAN region together with students from ASEAN member countries.
The 2026 program is scheduled to be held at Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines (dates to be determined).
◆It is an international collaborative program jointly organized by Kyushu University and its leading partner universities in ASEAN member countries.
◆Students from diverse academic backgrounds learn about the social challenges and cultural diversity of the ASEAN region, while engaging with perspectives that transcend differences in nationality, region, culture, and society.
◆Through living and studying alongside students from ASEAN countries in multinational groups, participants can build extensive international networks and further develop their English communication skills.
◆Courses are taught in English by both faculty members from the host university and Kyushu University, and the program culminates in a presentation competition by multinational student teams on the final day.
