Starting FY2024, two doctoral student support programs will be implemented.
(1) Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (K2-SPRING)
Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation program is a program that has been implemented continuously since FY2021.
From FY2024, it will be integrated with the “Leading Human Resource Development Fellowship Project”.
(2) AI Human Resource Development Program for Next-generation (K-BOOST)
This program has been implemented since FY2024 to increase the number of students entering doctoral programs and to foster more advanced researchers in the field of next-generation AI in order to strengthen Japan’s research capabilities and industrial competitiveness in the field of next-generation AI.
We will be recruiting students who will transfer to or advance to the doctoral program between April 2024 and April 2026.
