Introduction of the Job-based Research Internships

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has been promoting long-term, paid “job-based research internships” in collaboration with companies for doctoral students in the natural sciences since 2021, with the aim of expanding career paths for doctoral students and enhancing industry-university collaborative education at the graduate school level.
【Outline of Job-Based Research Internship】
・Doctoral students with the basic knowledge and ability to conduct research are eligible for this program.
・Long-term (2 months or more) and paid research internship
・Implemented as a credit course in the regular education curriculum
